Custom Dock & Deck Building Across South Florida

New construction and repair in wood, concrete, composite and Ipe — built for the way South Florida families actually use the water.

Quick answer

Broward Dock and Seawall designs, builds and repairs residential and commercial docks and decks in wood, concrete, composite and Ipe (Brazilian Walnut). We specialize in single-family and condominium docks but are equipped for the largest commercial projects. Estimates are free.

Although we are equipped to handle the largest commercial dock projects, we specialize in residential docks and decks for single-family homes and condominiums.

Our customers frequently tell us that our professionalism and the quality of our craftsmanship is without equal. We offer new construction and repair of docks and decks in a variety of materials — including wood, concrete, composites and Ipe, otherwise known as Brazilian Walnut.

New dock construction over Florida waters is permitted through agencies such as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the state — and our in-house team handles it as part of your project.

Materials we build with

  • Ipe (Brazilian Walnut) — almost twice as dense as most woods and up to five times harder; a premium, decades-long decking surface
  • Composite — low-maintenance, splinter-free, color-stable boards
  • Concrete — maximum durability for high-traffic and commercial docks
  • Pressure-treated & marine-grade wood — classic, cost-effective and repairable

New builds and repairs

Whether you are adding a brand-new dock for a new boat, extending a deck for entertaining, or repairing storm and rot damage, we handle the design, permitting and construction. Because we run our own barge and crane and an in-house crew, your project stays on schedule instead of waiting on subcontractors.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best material for a dock in South Florida?

It depends on budget and use. Ipe (Brazilian Walnut) is a premium hardwood that is nearly twice as dense and up to five times harder than most woods, so it lasts for decades. Composite is low-maintenance and splinter-free, concrete is the most durable for heavy and commercial use, and pressure-treated wood is the most cost-effective. We help you weigh all four.

Can you repair my existing dock instead of replacing it?

Often, yes. If the piling and substructure are sound, we can replace decking, stringers and hardware rather than rebuild. We will tell you honestly when repair makes sense and when replacement is the better long-term value.

Do you build commercial and condominium docks?

Yes. We specialize in residential single-family and condominium docks but are fully equipped — with our own barge and crane — for the largest commercial dock projects.

Do dock projects need permits?

Most new dock construction and major repairs require permits. Our in-house team has handled federal, state and local marine permitting since 1965 and manages it as part of your project.
