Marine Piling Installation & Replacement

New construction or replacement of dock, dolphin, batter, foundation and swimming-pool piling — in wood or concrete, driven to do the job right.

Quick answer

Broward Dock and Seawall installs and replaces marine and structural piling in wood or concrete — including dock, dolphin, batter, foundation and swimming-pool piling, plus excavation. With our own barge and crane, we drive piling throughout Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach. Estimates are free.

We offer new construction or replacement of existing piling, in either wood or concrete.

Whether your requirements involve dock piling, dolphin piling, batter piling, foundation piling or even swimming-pool piling and excavation, you will find us highly knowledgeable and responsive to your needs. Piling is the foundation everything else stands on — and it is where six decades of experience really shows.

Driving piles in and along Florida waters is regulated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the state; our in-house team manages the permits.

Piling we install

  • Dock piling — the structural backbone of any dock or boat lift
  • Dolphin piling — clustered piles for mooring and channel marking
  • Batter piling — angled piles that resist lateral load
  • Foundation piling — structural support for waterfront construction
  • Swimming-pool piling & excavation — support for pools on unstable or waterfront soil

Wood or concrete

We drive both wood and concrete piling depending on the load, exposure and the look you want. Concrete offers maximum life in aggressive saltwater conditions; treated wood is proven, repairable and cost-effective. We will recommend the right pile for your project and your budget.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between wood and concrete piling?

Concrete piling offers the longest life in aggressive saltwater and heavy-load conditions, while pressure-treated wood piling is proven, repairable and more cost-effective. The right choice depends on load, water exposure and budget — we recommend the correct pile for each project.

What is dolphin piling?

A dolphin is a cluster of piles driven together and bound at the top, used for mooring vessels, marking channels or protecting structures. We install dolphin piling along with dock, batter and foundation piling throughout South Florida.

Can you replace failed piling under an existing dock?

Yes. We replace deteriorated wood or concrete piling beneath existing docks and structures using our own barge and crane, often without rebuilding the entire dock.

Do you do pool piling and excavation?

Yes — we install swimming-pool piling and handle the related excavation to support pools built on waterfront or unstable soil.
